This is one of the best part. For the past 4 days in KK we did not find any food that we can called exotic. But this one is really nice. For the past four days, the only food that we took is Nasi Campur and KFC so this is our chance to let our tongue taste something different in cooking. So we drive up to Telipok where most of the stall operated near the road side are selling LOKAN PANGGANG and AIR KELAPA BAKAR. COCONUT Pudding also avaialable there. This fresh Lokan will be roasted for 10-15 minutes after that a bit of tomyam paste then poured inside the LOKAN.. Wow.. very nice wooooo...
The price of Lokan Panggang is around RM7- RM 12 per plate consist of 8-10 Lokan (Shellfish). We finished all 10 plates of Lokan Panggang together with 10 Kelapa Panggang and Puding Kelapa... Manyak sodap...Nyum nyum nyumm...
Sabah is also famous of its seafood but it rather expensive when we eat at the stall or at the restaurant. Alternatively, in order for us to bargain for cheap, we just go to the wet market, buy all those fish, prawns, crabs and cuttlefish that we wanted then we cook ourselves .. The cost? Even cheaper than what we paid at the seafood stall or restaurant..provided you are staying at the apartment with kitchenware availalable. Otherwise, this tactic is not viable for you..
Although the food are really nice we control our consumption so that we are not over eaten to avoid having a STOMACHACHE. If not you get yourself landing at the Most Sophisticated Toilet ever built by the stall owner... Aiyoooooo...
